Hello Pojo Fans,

Springans Ship – Exblowrer is the big one and the main goal of the Springans archetype.

Two or more Level 8 monsters to Xyz Summon, or you can use the Field Spell to summon it without any materials, the latter is much easier, especially in this strategy that could attach your whole hand if you wanted to. The more materials the better for him Exblowrer’s destruction power. Being able to select one Monster or Spell/Trap Zone and having the capability to wipe out the card in it and cards around that zone if you have enough to detach. Equal trade regardless of how many you detach to destroy and you can always reattach Springans to Exblowrer so you shouldn’t be without ammo for it. It does hinder it a small bit that you have to choose adjacent zones rather than pick and choose but it will force your opponent to think about monster placement and spread stuff out because at any point Exblowrer could hit the field and ruin their day. The dodge ability during your opponents turn is a good evasion effect since you can’t destroy cards with Exblowrer on your opponents turn, I think Exblowrer would’ve been better had it not had this effect and been able to destroy on your opponents turn, even if they put a limit on how many cards you could destroy. 1600ATK can be boosted with Sand Sea and its DEF is legitimate.

Exblowrer is and isn’t a Rank 8 Xyz because of Sand Sea, and with Sand Sea existing you should never Xyz Summon Exblower normally because there are better Rank 8’s out there to play in a Springans deck. It is the Xyz you want to see on your field as quickly as possible.

The week ends off with the monster you try to summon as soon as possible in Springans: Springans Ship – Exblowrer.

Exblowrer is a Rank 8 FIRE Machine with 1600 ATK and 2500 DEF. A little disappointing stat line for a Rank 8, but FIRE Machine is still fun. The summoning requirements are any 2+ Level 8s, so nice generic Rank 8 and having the option to use more than 2 monsters can come up. Exblowrer lets you choose an opponent’s Monster Zone or Spell/Trap Zone and lets you detach any number of materials from this card to destroy any of your opponent’s cards in that zone and adjacent zones equal to the number of detached materials. It’s a super unique effect and it’s a cool Battleship-like effect if you know the board game. Being able to pop multiple cards with just 1 monster, even if it needs an investment of your Xyz Materials, is pretty good and it at least works with Springans reattaching themselves to this when you need. The second effect is during the opponent’s Main or Battle Phase as a Quick Effect where it can banish itself until the End Phase. Nice for your boss to be able to get out of harms way if you need, you do lose your Xyz Materials, but you shouldn’t have an issue getting them back in Springans. The banish also triggers Springans Booty and Gold Golgonda as well, so that’s good. Each effect is a hard once per turn, as we’ve seen all week on the Springans cards, and it’s expected. Exblowrer is a pretty unique boss monster for this archetype, you don’t have any other card really that’s like this with its destruction effect and ability to dodge removal. It’s a nice Rank 8 for any generic Level 8 Deck if you want as well for that removal effect. Overall, I like this card.

Springans:  Springans Ship Exbowrer is the big boy who gets to close the week.  Rank 8, back to Fire/Machine, again with a disappointing attack at 1600 and even that 2500 defense isn’t amazing.  XYZ Summon requires any 2+ generic Level 8 Monsters, which is cool.  The first effect with destroying cards is really cool given it has a cascade effect of sorts.  Discarding any number of Material lets you choose an opponent’s Monster or Magic/Trap Zone to destroy a card in but also subsequently destroying all cards in attached Zones as well.  This won’t always payoff as well as you want, BUT, given how easily this Theme moves and reattaches XYZ Material, getting this to destroy several cards by this effect should be very easy for the player.  A Quick Effect also lets you remove this card from play until the End Phase, during your opponent’s Main or Battle Phase.  A spin on protection of itself, I suppose, which could be necessary given the attack and defense line.  Fun card and a decent way to end the week.
