Against better judgement, Bushi are determined that you milk something out of this Riviere shit somehow. Stupid thing is that you only have ONE Riviere G-Unit to choose from and it’s not even wholly impressive unless you can keep a field of Rivieres. The re-stand is okay to a point, but hardly game-changing. Just about the only thing it has REALLY going for it is that you can pull a Daihawk and be the first to get a G-Unit, for less of a requirement. Not something to rely on as you need to open with 2 Grade 3s including this, but the option is there.

Okay, but not brilliant.

What’s up, Rogue Squad?!  At first, I thought we rolled through all of the Bermuda Triangle cards to start focusing on the new era, but nooooooooooooo; Bushiroad loves spoiling the mermaid pop idols, so we get to look at another week of these fishy singers…how delightful…anyway, today is Trois, and while she may be made specifically for the Riviere deck and help make sure you get to Riviere when necessary by both to Grade 3 and/or Striding into a Riviere G Unit, there’s a problem with that later statement: there’s only 1 Riviere G Unit, and she’s okay at best.  If the Riviere archetype had more support or even a redux like Coral or Raindear did, then this wouldn’t be too bad, but as of right now, she’s just mediocre for a under-supported archetype.
