So, I know back in the day Spectral Duke was considered THE SHIT and all that, but let’s get real: if Set 6 in English hadn’t dropped right after Set 2, and we got the releases in proper order, would anyone have played this? I think not. In context of English meta, yes, it was nice that Gold Paladins got a re-standing Vanguard, but it was still a bit eh as a re-stander until Break Ride era, and in the event of failure had almost no way to really push constantly.

And I always preferred Garmore toolbox as a deck, anyway. I mean how often did you get to SEARCH pieces in Gold Paladin back then? Never is what.
