Hello Pojo Fans,

Red Supernova Dragon wraps up the week and is an even bigger Synchro option for Red Dragon Archfiend players.

Three Tuners is even more than yesterdays card, and you need a non-Tuner Synchro on top of that. Has to be first Synchro Summoned, so there’s no getting around those requirements. With 12 Levels to work with and no requirement for which non-Tuner Synchro you use, there’s a multitude of options to make Red Supernova, but Junk Speeder and Synchron Tuners are your easiest way to this beheamoth. Same ATK boost as Red Nova, so 500ATK more because of three Tuners instead of two. Destruction protection from opponent monster effects narrows your opponents card pool for dealing with this card, and when they may have an answer to it, Supernova has its second effect ready to ruin their day. Banish Supernova to banish all your opponents cards is an incredible field-clearing effect and you get your Supernova back at the next End Phase to use the effect again. It can also do this on an opponents attack, but just like with Red Nova, who will attack this high ATK monster?

Supernova, like Red Nova, needs their own strategy, it isn’t something you can just throw into an Extra Deck and think it will work. Looking past that, it is an incredibly tough Synchro to out if it hits the field clean. Strong ATK/DEF, ability to avoid effect(s), takes away all your cards without triggering their effect(s), comes back to do it again, and has card effect destruction protection. If you get it out you should win.

Red Nova Dragon evolves as we end the week with the new powerhouse for RDA and maybe anything else using Synchros: Red Supernova Dragon.

Red Supernova Dragon is a Level 12 DARK Dragon Synchro with 4000 ATK and 3000 DEF. The same nice qualities from yesterday, only a 500 ATK boost to improve it. The summoning requirements are any 3 Tuners and any non-Tuner Synchro(s), which is a big ask still, but at least the Synchro you can use is now generic. Junk Speeder is probably the best way to get to this, cause 3 Tuners and another Synchro is a lot to ask for. It must first be Synchro Summoned, cause I could see people wanting to try and cheat this out. It retains the 500 ATK boost for each Tuner in your grave, so going by yesterday’s logic I mentioned should likely get to 6000 ATK, but guaranteed going to be 5500 ATK considering you’re using 3 Tuners and they aren’t getting banished. Still cannot be destroyed by the opponent’s card effects, which while I would ask for more protection considering it’s over a decade since Red Nova Dragon, the effect makes up for it considering it’s likely monsters that’ll try to out this. Once per turn, if the opponent activates a monster effect or declares an attack, you can banish this card and every other card the opponent controls. So basically it goes supernova on the opponent’s board and wipes it clean. Pretty strong effect, if not a little easy to bait out and then continue. Still, any chance to banish multiple of the opponent’s cards is nice. This card comes back during your next End Phase after you used this effect, which probably means you might not likely get a clean shot on the opponent after banishing their field, but I still appreciate it coming back. Red Supernova can get a little gimmicky, but it’s certainly achievable. Having a field wipe at the level this does is pretty good, if at worst for getting the opponent to bait this. If you can achieve 3 Tuners and another Synchro alongside it, why not throw this in and have a powerhouse at your side?

From one Red Dragon to another, closing the week is Red Supernova Dragon. A Level 12, Dark/Dragon Synchro with 4000 attack (and 3000 defense) needing 3 Tuners AND a Tuner-Sunchro for a Synchro Summon.  You’re investing a lot to drop this to the Field, even if there are ways around some of this (Formula Synchron, for one, come to mind).  But once it hits the Field, good luck getting it off.  500 attack boost again for each Tuner in your Graveyard, which should make this guy 6000 attack or higher each time it drops.  Still immune to your opponent’s card Effects makes this an even bigger problem than yesterday having such a higher attack.  The last effect is a Quick one, even more devastating than yesterday where when your opponent declares an attack or a Monster effect, or declares an attack, removing this card from play negates said attack to effect, and you remove your opponent’s entire Field from play.  Your Monster, of course, returns during your next End Phase.  So this card is insanely strong, cripples your opponent, and if your opponent essentially does anything, their entire Board is getting wiped and removed.  Getting it out can be difficult, but it should be well worth it.
