I normally don’t touch Premium with a twenty light-year pole (well at the very least I never dedicated an entire review or six to Premium), but as the Extra Booster is next week and I have no more good cards worth mentioning in Extra Booster 6, let’s do this.

Now, Progenitor Dragons are the new hotness for Premium: they all require using a card with the same name as your Vanguard to Stride, while they are face-up in the G-Zone, you can Stride for free forever, but as a downside they cannot be flipped face-up in the G Zone via a card effect or cost, which is fair, because if we used any of the generic GR Rarity G Units and could pay with this we wouldn’t play anything else.

Anyway, Agnos’s unique effect is a bit eh when all is said and done. Sure it’s a direct +3 no matter what happens but it’s nothing mind-numbingly amazing, particularly when stacked against all the other G Units that work as a more powerful first Stride. Not compared to a field bomb or massive lanes.

Only really good for a clan that can summon a board and then keep it. Luard doesn’t want this, Gavrail exists if the intent is to Stride for free, and just about most other decks have something more powerful to go into. Just about the only deck I can think of that could regularly Stride into this (or would want to) is Fenrir/Wiseman (if that’s still a thing).

3/5
