Hi everyone. Welcome to another Pokémon of the Week. Today we’re
reviewing Jolteon, the lightning Pokémon.
Jolteon is the fastest of the eeveelutions, even faster than
some of the most used Pokémon so this one means some kind of
advantage from the very moment you take it out. It also has High
special stats, unfortunately has also a very poor defense which
is translated into easy OHKO’s.
Volt absorb is good, not my favorite ability but anyway, try to
avoid battling Lanturns, it’d be a boring battle.
You might be used to the thunder dancer strategy, so I won’t
list it for this one. Instead of it we have…
The baton passer is usually good to pass two things; Speed (as
we can see in this move set) or health using wish. I like this
one but I got to admit Ninjask is better for that. Use any of
them you want.
When should I use this Pokémon?
This is one of the most used eeveelutions and that’s for an
important reason, there are not many non-legendaries that can
compete with Jolteon’s speed. It has powerful moves and great
team strategies. So you might want to use it s you baton passer
or your starting sweeper.
What should I use against this Pokémon?
If Jolteon doesn’t have HP, Dugtrio is your best shot. I have
also seen some Flygons taking out this one. A good strategy is
to poison or taunt it.
I have terrible memories of this Pokémon but it is good, maybe
as good as Umbreon. Hope you liked our Eon section.
Hope you enjoyed.
Like the other eeveelutions, Jolteon makes a great baton-passer
due to its high speed and stat-boosting moves. It can also act
as a special sweeper using the right genes for hidden power to
become a strong ice type move.
Substitutes and agility among other moves can be passed giving
the receiving pokemon a great advantage. Jolteon can always
return later with its great speed and special attack. A great
