Reeve Medicham

# 308.
Type: Fighting / Psychic.
Ability: Pure power.
Locations: Evolve Meditite, Victory road (Ruby / Sapphire).

Hi everyone. Welcome to another Pokémon of the Week. Today we’re reviewing a not so bad Pokémon; Medicham.

This is a multi purpose Pokémon; I’ve seen many different sets. Doesn’t have the best stats ever, but it has a wide variety of move sets and all of them are somehow useful. I don’t really like the baton passer or the elemental puncher (We have Alakazam for that), but it’s good to know you can count on this one for almost every strategy you might want to use.

Its ability is just fantastic, suits Medicham almost perfectly, specially with the sets we’re reviewing today…

Medicham.
Nature: Jolly (+ Speed, - Special attack).
Equip: Choice band.
EV´s: 252 Speed, 129 Special attack, 129 HP.
- Brick break
- Shadow ball
- Rock slide
- Focus punch

I love this set. Defeat flying types with rock slide and ghosts with shadow ball. This is mainly a choice bander, and I think you already know the strategy right? Hit and run…

Medicham.
Nature: Jolly (+ Speed, - Special attack).
Equip: Salac berry.
EV´s: 252 Speed, 129 Special attack, 129 HP.
- Substitute
- Reversal
- Rock slide
- Shadow ball

Sweeper. This might be a good sub puncher as well, but I think this set is good enough. Just use substitute and hit, wait for salac and hit again…

When should I use this Pokémon?
If you hate elaborated strategies and just like to use powerful Pokémon to hit hard… Use this… Might be your best friend against Blissey.

What should I use against this Pokémon?
A good tank might be useful here. I haven’t tried Skarmory, but might work…

Bottom line:
It is good, but it is often underused because of its wide variety of move options (ironic huh?), if people don’t know how to raise and train Medicham, it just becomes another Pokédex filler.

Rating:
3/5

Hope you enjoyed.
Reeve
