Reeve Muk.
# 089.
Type: Poison.
Ability: Stench/Sticky hold.
Locations: Evolve Grimer, Pokémon Mansion (LeafGreen).

Hi everyone. Welcome to another Pokémon of the Week. Yesterday was a big day in Pokémon World as D&P versions came out, so we now have a lot more Pokémon. Today we’re reviewing this… Thing? Its name is Muk.

This Pokémon has good high HP and Special defense, however it has horrible defense and speed as well. Muk is somehow compared to Snorlax because of the curse move. This Pokémon is good enough for a tank so that’s going to be Muk’s main strategy.

Both abilities are horrible, but I think it is best to use Sticky Hold, as the other one does absolutely nothing for you in battle.

Now, we’re having two move combinations this week; the Tank and the subpuncher.

Muk.
Nature: Adamant (+ Attack, - Special attack).
Equip: Chesto berry.
EV´s: 170 Attack, 170 Special defense, 170 HP.
- Curse
- Rest
- Sludge bomb
- Brick break

If you know how to use this one then you’ll have time to reorganize your battle in extreme cases. This one’s a sweeper but also a good tank. Curse a couple of times and then brick break or sludge bomb for sweeping. Rest when necessary and wake up with chesto. If you’re facing ghosts, try HP ghost instead of brick break.

Muk.
Nature: Adamant (+ Attack, - Special attack).
Equip: Leftovers.
EV´s: 252 HP, 252 Attack, 6 Defense.
- Substitute
- Focus punch
- Sludge bomb
- HP ghost

The subpuncher works the same as the others. You might want to try Cursing with this one as well as your substitute is working, Toxic would be a nice surprise too.

When should I use this Pokémon?
I can’t suggest this one over Snorlax, but if you really want to try something different then good luck…

What should I use against this Pokémon?
The all mighty psychics; Metagross or Alakazam would be perfect.

Bottom line:
Good, but not good enough, just one of those Pokémon that you might like or not hate…

Rating:
2/5

Hope you enjoyed.
Reeve.
