Pokemon Adventures Bridges the Translation Gap & New Tomy Plush!

You could say this report is some 15 years in the making and a fit way to celebrate 10 years of my writing news reports for you! Fans who've followed Viz' translation of Japanese manga Pocket Monsters Special, or Pokémon Adventures as it's known in the US, know that Viz had more than a few start/stops and jumped around a LOT translating this series. Well, volume 29 is out this week and the hole is finally closed for the back issues in need of translation. As you can see by the photo, I've finally got the missing piece for the hole on the 2nd shelf of my rack awaiting this (the top 3 shelves have the entirety of Pokémon Adventures issues that have been translated by Viz thus far and the bottom 2 shelves have most of volumes 1-40 of the Japanese versions found at a local Japanese bookstore that has unfortunately since closed). Sitting beside volume 29 on the floor are NEW Tomy plush found in the TCG aisle of a local Wal-Mart--sleepy Pikachu and Goomy! Most retailers are doing clearance right now prior to resetting shelves, but luckily the TCG vendor has restocked some merch in the TCG aisles, so check there for new items and keep an eye open on regular retail shelves for shelf resetting within the next month or so.
Not exactly sure where I'm going to put my new plush, after 10 years of writing, I feel like I need a storage unit! PI-KA!
