In other Pokémon news, the 2012 Pokémon World Championships begins this Saturday, August 11th in Hawaii. Pokémon TCG and Pokémon video game players from more than 30 countries will be battling for the title of Pokémon World Champion this weekend. We will be providing photos and a post-event release announcing the winners next Monday, August 13th. More event details can be found at www.pokemonworldchampionships.com. 
 
Lastly, as announced last month, a select number of Pokémon Video Game World Championships finalists and their Pokémon teams will be selected to be distributed as Pokémon Trainer avatars in the upcoming titles. Pokémon Black Version 2 and Pokémon White Version 2 players will be able to battle these avatars in the games' Pokémon World Tournament arena. The selected Pokémon World Championships video game players being distributed will be announced later this fall sometime after the titles launch on October 7th."
