Muk Man's Season Chronicles

Since I plan on going to worlds this year, I decided to chronicle my season. I hope that others may learn for my experience, and take the proper steps towards becoming a better pokemon player. I am also doing this so when I leave the game I will have something to reflect upon.

My Road To Worlds…

Episode 10 “Battle Roads Pt 1”
 

I know I know it’s been a long time since I posted ….

The New Cards are here, the new rules are in effect and the first week of battle roads have gone by. I have been Traveling up and down the east coast and  on different job interviews, so I haven’t had time to focus on pokemon, but I have tweaked one of the many decks I built. I called it “Delta Burn” but then renamed it after Brian Leary who said he would build a similar version and name it after me.

It’s a very fast and consistent deck.

4 eevee UF (with the power)

3 Flareon d

1 Umbreon d

1 Vaporeon d

3-3 ex Scizor line

3 Holon FF energy

And 4 Full flame.

It runs the castaway engine

And 2 energy root.

The goal of the deck is to start with Eevee then using either fire or metal energy in you hand evolve to flare on d and use Holon search. The next turn you attach the third energy play full flame and return burn for 50+ full flame. I had made it last year but with the lack of metal energy it was hard to meet the specific energy required for Return Burn. But new rules means more metal energy and since I have castaway to help search, it was no longer a problem. Doing 60-100 damage turn 2 is insane especially when your pokemon is rooted and can abuse metal energy. Plus with Holon ff you have no weakness. So the deck works during all the testing. But come battle Roads… I go on a 2 game losing streak being beat by the SAME HORIBLE SALAMENCE EX DECK, that beat me in the last round of regionals, and Infernape. So I finish like 13^th and it just takes all the wind outta my sails…..till I get a new great deck idea!!!!!!

I go hope build/ proxy the deck…..Wham IT WORKS….lol I cant wait to test it out at the next battle roads….But since I didn’t go to anymore battle roads, I just have to take it to Nationals.
