Eevee's Deck Garage

Gyrados Mill Deck
April 14, 2009

Hello-

I am Moputah1492. Here is my deck list, fix it up as you see fit.

4-4-4 Rhyperior (DP)

2-2  Gyarados (SF)

2-2 Regigigas LV X (Basic regi w/ body) (SF)

2-2 Claydol (GE)

1 Uxie (LA)

1 Unown G (GE)

4 Bebe

3 Roseanne

1 Lux. Ball

4 Broken Time Space

4 Time Space Distortion

4 Super Scoop Up

2 Night Maintenance

2 Warp Point

1 Metal

2 Water

5 Fighting

The strategy is to deck out your oppt... Get Gyarados out there with 2 energies and start decking out by hoping to you flip a few heads. While you are doing that, power up a gigas so when Gyarados is KOed bring up gigas and use sacrifice to power up gigas, then use his attack to do some miner decking out and hand destruction. While those 2 guys do the attacking use Rhyperior to start decking out. Use Super Scoop Up to get the whole line in back in hand, and use BTS to replay them during same turn. When you have to use gigas sacrifice, sacrifice to put a Rhyperior in discard pile and use time-space distortion to get it back (credit for the time-space idea goes to my best friend in the whole wide world- Raymond) then use broken time space to get it back out and get rid of another 3 cards.

Hope you can help, this is my deck for the Utah Regional Championship.

Hey guys! Eevee here with another deck fix! I've recruited KFT from COTD for some help on this one. ^^; To tell the truth I've never entered a Regionals so I thought it would be good to get some input from someone who has entered higher tournaments. ^^ I'll let KFT take it from here.

KFT:

Lesse here. The biggest problem I see with the deck is that Galactic shuts it down if it runs Dialga or Palkia Lock.

Dialga can Deafen Lock you as soon as turn one, leaving you unable to retrieve your Rhyperior with SSU, or to accelerate it's evolution with BTS.

Palkia Lock means your Poke Powers, such as Sacrifice, Set-Up, Cosmic Power, and, msot importantly, Earth Fissure, will be Power SPrayed or sopped by multiple Mesprit.

The final nail in the coffin would be that Kingdra takes advantage of all the discarding to potentially THKO Regigigas Lv. X.

Galactic and Kingdra decks are the biggest archetypes in the format, so, personally, I'd suggest something else for regionals. But, I get payed to help decks, not to crush dreams, so here we go.

Pokemon

4-4-4 Rhyperior (DP)

2-2  Gyarados (SF)

2-2 Regigigas LV X (Basic regi w/ body) (SF)

2-2 Claydol (GE)

1 Uxie (LA)

1 Unown G (GE)

Gyarados, although a nice attacker is rarely going to be your starter, and his attack is too flippy for my taste.

-2 Magikarp

-2 Gyarados

also, reduce the Gigas Lv. X count by one.

-1 Regigigas Lv. X

Now, add another Basic Gigas so you can start with it earlier then not.

+1 Regigigas

Speaking of Machamp, drop one of each member of the Rhyperior line to make room for a 1-0-1 Machamp (SF) line.

-1 Rhyhorn

-1 Rhydon

-1 Rhyperior

+1 Machop

+1 Machamp

Trainers, Supporters, and Stadiums

4 Bebe

3 Roseanne

1 Lux. Ball

4 Broken Time Space

4 Time Space Distortion

4 Super Scoop Up

2 Night Maintenance

2 Warp Point

Reduce the BTS by two since, it may prove to be a dead draw in late games..

-2 Broken Time-Space

Add in two Premier Balls to find Gigas from the deck or discard.

+2 Premier Ball

For Machamp, and because nothing is funner then a turn one Rhyperior to mess up your opponent, add in two Rare Candies.

+2 Rare Candy.

If you honestly have four TSDs, Kudos, but , for the sake of ease to get, I'd drop the count down to three.

-1 Time-Space Distortion

Energy

1 Metal

2 Water

5 Fighting

Since I got rid of Gyarados, drop the Water energy count to 1 and add in four Rainbow Energy and another Fighting Energy, since you have a better chance of drawing energy for Gigas, and you can use Roseanne too.

-1 Water

+4 Rainbow Energy

+1 Fighting Energy

The New List

3-3-3 Rhyperior (DP)

3-1 Regigigas LV X (SF) (Non-Holo Basic)

2-2 Claydol (GE)

1-0-1 Machamp (SF)

1 Uxie (LA)

1 Unown G (GE)

4 Bebe

3 Roseanne

1 Lux. Ball

2 Broken Time Space

3 Time Space Distortion

4 Super Scoop Up

2 Night Maintenance

2 Warp Point

2 Premier Ball

1 Metal

1 Water

6 Fighting

4 rainbow

Now, you can take care of threats like G decks with Machamp, as well as get a faster Gigas up. Hope this works for you and good luck in your regionals.

~KFT

Here ya go Eevee.

Eevee:

Ok! ^^ Thanks KFT! I really appreciate it. I tend to agree with what KFT said on your deck. In the current metagame we've been seeing you may run into quit a few problems. My advice is to flip through your binder one last time before regionals. Either way tho, Good luck! Sorry I couldn't be of some more help... ^^; I really wish my state had tournaments that were closer. T.T

Catch 'ya Later! ;D ~Eevee (And KFT!)
