DialgaChomp
April 26, 2011

          For the first deck that needed help, I searched far and wide for decks in need of some help, any help, and I ended walking to the faraway land of the Pojo Message Boards, and I found a DialgaChomp list from January, with only 1 response with suggestions. Let's take a look:

DialgaChomp
http://www.pojo.biz/board/showthread.php?t=918987

Pokemon:::16
1 Dialga G lv.X
3 Dialga G
2 Garchomp C lv.X
2 Garchomp C
1 Crobat G
1 Toxicroak G (promo)
1 Dragonite FB
1 Bronzong G
1 Drifblim FB
2 Uxie
1 Azelf

Supporters:::12
4 Cyrus's Conspiracy
2 Professor Oak's New Theory
2 Bebe's Search
2 Pokemon Collector
1 Aaron's Collection
1 Judge

Trainers:::18
4 Poke Turn
3 Energy Gain
3 Power Spray
2 SP Radar
2 Expert Belt
2 Energy Exchanger
1 Luxury Ball
1 Premier Ball

Energy:::14
4 Double Colorless Energy
4 Metal Energy (special)
2 Metal Energy (basic)
2 Psychic Energy
2 Warp Energy

The only thing I don't like in the deck is the Drifblim FB, but I have no idea what to replace it with. If I had an Uxie lv.X that would go in over it in a hearbeat, but I don't have access to one.

-----------------------------------------

Well, let's begin. Please note that, since Black/White hasn't officially released, I'm not suggesting cards from the set. Not yet, anyway.

            I'll start with the positives. It looks like your Energy line is solid, as well as your Pokemon, even though you said that you don't like Drifblim FB. We'll get to that in a moment.

            More urgently, your Supporters could use some work. I don't want to hate on Professor Oak's New Theory and Judge too much, because they are both decent hand refresh Supporters, but really, you should only run 1-2 at most, and that's only if you have nothing better to add in their place. In this deck's case, you absolutely have something to add, as I note that you're running only 2 copies each of Bebe's Search and Pokemon Collector. Frankly, any deck should be running 3-4 copies of both Bebe's and Collector in any given deck, IMO. Yes, you can search out the 2 copies you already have with Cyrus' Conspiracy, but it'd be even better if you could draw into Bebe's and Collector, and then search out more Supporters from your deck with Cyrus, right? Besides, Bebe's Search aren't terribly hard to find; they've been reprinted enough times that they're not that uncommon.

            Collectors, on the other hand, are still somewhat difficult to acquire right now. So I'm going to ask that you only try and find 1 copy of it. However, we are still going to try and help you compensate for not running max Collector. You know how I said we'll get back to Drifblim FB? I'd like to see you replace the Drifblim...for Weavile G. Call for Family is such a good attack at the start of the game, not to mention the beautiful free retreat, so you can Call for Family when needed, then retreat to the bench. Plus, if you are willing to add in a basic Dark energy(I don't really think you need 2 Psychic, personally), Team Attack is pretty nifty against stuff like Gengar.

            That's the main problem with the deck, really; all the other problems are relative nitpicks. I like the idea of using Energy Exchanger in DialgaChomp, but I don't think you need two, and I also think you need another Expert Belt, to improve the odds of drawing into it. And that's pretty much it, really: the only real problem I saw was the inconsistency of not running optimal numbers of Bebe's and Collector.

The cards I'd remove:
-2 Professor Oak's New Theory
-1 Judge
-1 Drifblim FB
-1 Energy Exchanger

The cards I'd add:
+2 Bebe's Search
+1 Pokemon Collector
+1 Weavile G
+1 Expert Belt

Resulting in:
Pokemon:::16
1 Dialga G lv.X
3 Dialga G
2 Garchomp C lv.X
2 Garchomp C
1 Crobat G
1 Toxicroak G (promo)
1 Dragonite FB
1 Bronzong G
1 Weavile G
2 Uxie
1 Azelf

Supporters:::12
4 Cyrus's Conspiracy
4 Bebe's Search
3 Pokemon Collector
1 Aaron's Collection

Trainers:::18
4 Poke Turn
3 Energy Gain
3 Power Spray
2 SP Radar
3 Expert Belt
1 Energy Exchanger
1 Luxury Ball
1 Premier Ball

Energy:::14
4 Double Colorless Energy
4 Metal Energy (special)
2 Metal Energy (basic)
2 Psychic Energy
2 Warp Energy

Thanks for reading, and good luck!
