Sea Snake

Piece Ratings: See Below

Ratings are based on a 1 to 5 scale
1 being the worst. 3 is average. 5 is the highest rating.

Date Reviewed - Feb.
xx, 2013

Cadet-Captain Mike

Name:    Sea Snake (Jade)

Card:    SCS #213 (Limited Edition)

Points:  8

Masts: 1

Cargo: 3

Moves: L

Guns : 4S

Hit %: 33 (S), 0 (L)

Ability: Turtle Ship. This ship gets +1 to her boarding rolls.

The Sea Snake suffers from a split personality. She has the ability (and the poor cannons) of a boarding ship, but the single mast (and the low

speed) of a ship that shouldn't try boarding.

Sure, you can add a Helmsman and try preying on enemy gold ships; it might be fun. But if that's your game plan, you'd be better off with the Glorious Treasure, which has higher speed, a better cannon, and a deadlier ability for ramming and boarding, all for two points less. This ship is even less suited for fighting than she is for boarding, and the Jades have better gold ships than this one, so she has no alternate role.

This is the most expensive of the Jade turtle ships (except for the Dragon's Talon, which is a much better fighter), and among the worst. As a limited-edition ship, she's probably worth more as trade bait than as an active member of your fleet.

Goldship rating: 3.1 / 5

Gun Ship rating: 1.5 / 5

Boarding rating: 2.2 / 5

Value for points: 2.9 / 5
