Ability: Longship. Once per turn, you may eliminate
one of this ship’s crew to give her an extra action.
The Loki's Revenge was an LE ship that most players
won't have in their collections. If you do have her,
and if you aren't using her, then why not?
This ship begs comparing with a similar longship,
the excellent Naegling. Their cannons are identical,
and devastating. The Cursed ship is a bit slower and
has one more cargo. Her sac ability may be slightly
more useful than the Naegling's +1 bonus against
ships that have already been shot at. And the Cursed
ship costs three points less. That pays for three
Oarsmen, in addition to the required Captain and
Helmsman. It's a rare day when a Cursed ship is a
better value than some other faction's ship, but
here we have it.
Loki's Revenge, fully crewed up, allows you the
chance to fire up to twelve 2-rank L-range cannons
in a turn, for three or four turns. Can you say
"ouch"? Your enemy will. But make sure you get the
first shot, because three masts don't last long
under fire. If you can live with that weakness
(which is common to all longships), this bad boat
can lay some serious smack on anything it meets.
