Konami Hosts Yu-Gi-Oh! Tournament Finals
Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc., today announced details
of the United States Finals of the official 2006 Yu-Gi-Oh!
video game tournament. Sixteen players selected from a
nationwide online contest will compete at the Comic-Con
International Consumer Expo in San Diego Calif. on July 23rd
for the U.S. title. The top four duelists from the U.S.
tournament will win valuable prizes and advance to the Yu-Gi-Oh!
World Finals in Tokyo, Japan August 5th - 6th for a chance
to compete against the best players from around the globe
and a shot at being crowned World Champion.

Xbox 360-exclusive Dead Rising to be banned in Germany
The upcoming Xbox 360-exclusive title, Dead Rising, will not
make it to the shelves in Germany. The Unterhaltungssoftware
Selbstkontrolle (USK), Germany's official software rating
organisation, have taken offence to the violent nature of
the zombie killing fests (sounds like a great
advertisement). Germany are notorious for banning games that
are too violent, which have included Quake 1,2 and 3,Doom 1
and 2, and the admittedly violent game, Manhunt.

Kiefer Sutherland will lend his voice to the character
of Raistlin Majere in the animated feature, DRAGONLANCE.
Based on the book DRAGONS OF AUTUMN TWILIGHT in the
DRAGONLANCE CHRONICLES trilogy, lifelong friends have united
again, though each holds secrets about strange monsters,
creatures of myth, creatures of legend. However, a chance
encounter with a beautiful, sorrowful woman, who bears a
magical crystal staff, draws the companions deeper into the
shadows, forever changing their lives and shaping the fate
of the world.
The film is being produced by Epic Level Ent., Toonz
Animation and Commotion Pictures, under license from Wizards

World of Warcraft trading card game unveiled
Blizzard’s World of Warcraft is an enormously successful
online role playing game for the Mac and PC. Now it’s
spawned a forthcoming tabletop trading card game from Upper
Deck Entertainment.
The trading card game uses characters, artwork and content
culled from the popular game. Players start with their own
“Heroes of Azeroth” Starter Deck.

Sony dabbles with movies and memory sticks
Next month, consumers in North America will be able to
purchase 1 GB and 2 GB Memory Stick Duos that are branded as
"The Memory Stick Entertainment Pack." They consist of just
a standard Memory Stick Duo; however, they also contain a
DVD with four PSP-format movies on it. Inserting the DVD
into your PC allows an unlock code to be used to select
which of the 4 movies to unlock. Once chosen, the movie is
transferred to your purchased Memory Stick for viewing on a
PSP.

Pirates of the Caribbean: The Legend of Jack Sparrow
Dispite the reviews you may have read for this game, this
game no matter what age you are, slices its way through the
game charts full of wonderful maps and locations to wander
through. Playing as either Jack sparrow or Will Turner
throughout most of the game. Obviously the graphics will not
be as spectacular as a hollywood blockbuster movie, but they
sure come a close second.
