GET READY FOR NEW THEMES AND STRATEGIES THIS SPRING IN THE Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME!

El Segundo, Calif. (March 31, 2020) – Spring is here in the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME (TCG), and Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. (KONAMI) is proud to present four fresh releases packed with Dueling promise! First, April showers bring new powers with three themes debuting in Secret Slayers, an all-foil booster that introduces all-new Zombie, Plant and Rock themes like you’ve never seen before! Then it’s time to gear up with Structure Deck: Mechanized Madness, a new ready-to-play release starring the colossal clockworks of the Machina! Then in May, dozens of fan-favorite Decks get stellar new support in Eternity Code, Spring’s quarterly core booster and the follow-up to Ignition Assault. And finally, the next chapter of Speed Dueling begins as old rivals return in the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Speed Duel Starter Decks: Match of the Millennium and Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Speed Duel Starter Decks: Twisted Nightmares.

Spring is a time for rebirth and renewal, and that means new Decks and new strategies! Secret Slayers is a 60-card all-foil booster set with themes that introduce groundbreaking ways to Duel in more ways than one!

  • A new Rock theme unites science and treasure-hunting to let you dig through your Deck, hunting for buried gemstones one Excavation at a time. Unite precious finds with intrepid treasure-seekers to Synchro Summon amazing monsters and keep the dig going, sequencing the cards you draw from your Deck!
  • A necromantic master has risen from the ranks of the Zombie hordes, a vile creature of greed that can spend his fortune to wipe any card from the field! How vast is the wealth of Eldlich the Golden Lord? Well, he’s rich enough to buy his way back from the Graveyard again and again, creating a totally different undead strategy that all revolves around one monster!
  • The forces of life and nature unite under the banner of a new Plant theme, protecting one another in a strategy filled with sacrifice and rebirth. Tribute the right monster at the right time to negate your opponent’s moves or enhance your own, then watch your forces grow back at the end of the turn! Plant the right seeds and you may even find ways to weed out your opponent’s monsters with Tributes instead!

Secret Slayers

Secret Slayers appears in stores April 3 as an all-foil collection of 60 cards: 40 Super Rares and 20 Secret Rares. MSRP: $3.99 per 5-card pack.

Machina Gearframe and Machina Fortress once stood at the center of grand Machine armies, bolstering classic tournament themes like Gadgets and Geargia. Shaking off the rust and ready to shine again, the Machina are back in Structure Deck: Mechanized Madness! Gearframe and Fortress return, but this time there’s a new commander calling the shots: Machina Citadel! Unleash it by first placing it in your Graveyard, then revive it with its effect: whenever an EARTH Machine under your control is destroyed, you can Special Summon Machina Citadel to the field. From there, its 3000 ATK can run roughshod over your opponent’s Life Points, and its ability lets you hurl a Machine you control at your opponent’s monsters; that monster will be destroyed, but so will every opposing monster with equal or lower ATK!

One of the year’s most anticipated releases finally arrives in May, as Eternity Code brings new support for Ignition Assault themes like Ancient Warriors, Plunder Patroll and the @Ignisters! The game has changed, giving Duelists more ways to make the most of their Fusion, Synchro and Xyz Monsters. With countless competitors looking to leverage fan-favorite strategies, Eternity Code brings amazing legacy support for themes like Dinosaurs, Madolches and Witchcrafters, plus new classics like Dragonmaids and Code Talkers. If you collected cards from Rising Rampage, Chaos Impact, The Infinity Chasers, Fists of the Gadgets and Mystic Fighters, you’ll find new cards for some of the strongest strategies in those releases.  Eternity Code has new cards for some of the biggest retro themes from Duel Overload too, making it easy to flesh out your Deck.

From Traptrix and Tindangle, to Megaliths and Marincess, to Gizmeks and Goukis and beyond, Eternity Code is a celebration of some of the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG’s greatest hits, a crowd-pleasing cache of incredible cards for many of the game’s most-adored Decks!  And of course, you’ll also find cards that are powerful anywhere: a Spell Card that Special Summons any Fusion Material named on a Fusion Monster in your Extra Deck; a Trap Card that negates the effect of any monster in your opponent’s hand or Graveyard, or that is banished, punishing them with 2000 damage; and a new Effect Monster from the line of Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring, negating the effects of a Special Summoned monster and threatening their Life Points. No matter what Decks you love to play, Eternity Code has new cards you’ll want to collect.
