1 being the worst. 3 ... average.
5 is the highest rating.

emdman Hehe, a Blue Draik. I got one of them on the website, so I wouldn’t miss rating this card for the world.

Imo, a basic Neopet should not only be rated by its effect and stats, but also by its faerie type and Exp. Neopet(s). Blue Draik is definitely one of the good ones. This is because Blue Draik is capable of “evolving” into Draik Soldier, probably one of the best cards, if not THE best card, in the game. The only problem is that it’s a fire type, and the only 2 good cards I can think of that would go well with Draik Soldier is Contest of Champions and Money Tree Ghosts. There is Moltenore, but you probably won’t use him with Draik Soldier.

Blue Draik will get a 3/5 in a normal deck and a 5/5 in a weapon deck (A deck that uses Draik Soldier and a bunch of weapons).

This Neopet gets +1 to all stats in contests on your turn.

26/140  Rare (released in BfM expansion & as a special Promo)

Some of you may remember our first CotD, Blue Poogle.  Well, the Blue Draik is pretty similar.  It's not the best basic Neopet on it's own.  With a pair of 6's as it's best stats, there just isn't much power in this guy (or most Basic Fire Neopets).  However, you'll still see this guy pretty often for one simple reason: Draik Soldier.  Draik Soldier has become pretty popular since it can boost itself to a 22 in strength with one single equip on it.

The other neat thing about this card is that a promo version of it was released at the Battle for Meridell Premiere Tournament.  Aside from the promo star and foil, the promo card is pretty much identical to the BfM release.  But, with only an estimated 2500 in existance, collectors may not be able to find them for long.

Ratings:

In a Draik Soldier deck, it's an obvious choice (only 2 Basic Draiks), so a 3.9 of 5.
On it's own, it's pretty weak, so it gets a wimpy 2 of 5 for that.
