However, Gai has inspired Rock to be a ninja, even though Rock cannot do any ninjutsu or genjutsu. Rock specializes in Hard Fist of Taijutsu, which is very powerful and can do a lot of damage. In the Chuunin exams, he used one of the forbidden techniques taught to him by Gai. However, in the end, Rock was still defeated by Gaara, and suffered a severed injury.
