The demon of the cloud village
Ari's GenCon Deck
October 10, 2006

Alright, I’m back with another deck building critique. Here is my friend, Ari’s, Gencon deck. Ari is a really cool guy who has a different play style than I do. While I am always looking for a more controlled attack, he’s is just an all out kind of guy.

Ari had a great idea that no one else really took into consideration at gencon, well at least not as much he did. He and his Florida crew were the picture of consistency. As you can see below, he ran 3 of pretty much every card in his deck. Normally I would advise against this, but in his case, he was almost always able to ensure that he elements to some deadly combos. Let’s take a look:

His only choice for zero drops here were Sasuke. This meant that he was almost always to play him on turn one. Comboed with Temari on turn one, This was a deadly pair that almost always

3 N-062 Sasuke Uchiha

3 N-060 Temari

Demon brothers, were another key element to his success. Always having a additional two support and a tribute for his End of the Demon not only meant that he could easily get rid of his opponents ninja, but meant that he had extra water cards in his hand for the hand cost of End of the Demon. His opponents jonin never stayed around too long, allowing for him to be completely agro.

3 N-014 The Demon Brothers Meizu
3 M-052 The End of The Demon

Haku is a no brainer in this deck, with a 3 support, he is able to play almost every jutsu in this deck. Always having Haku out is never a bad thing. The PS-004 Kakashi is just like the N-011 one, but I think the art is a lot cooler. He’s got an impressive attack and a three support when he’s healthy. He’s big, and more aggressive than any other 4 drop jonin in the game.

3 N-043 Haku

3 PS-004 Kakashi Hatake

Zabuza, right…. Best 5 water drop in the game.

3 N-024 Zabuza Momochi

Justus, more aggro here. Hidden mist is his only defensive jutsu. water prision means that Zabuza’s team will often get an overwhelming victory, and striking shadow snake, means he can pick who to put at the head of that team. Vortex was for the game win, and senbon was for the rare cases when one of his ninja were injured. His lineup is the picture of a pure unadulterated rush at your opponent.

3 J-013 Hidden Mist Jutsu
3 J-032 Water Prison
3 J-034 Water Style: Giant Vortex
2 J-051 Senbon
2 J-076 Striking Shadow Snake

Finally, just in case he doesn’t have the demon brother he’s looking for, or if he needs some extra chakera, bingo book makes the difference.
