Okay, so I’m going to have to review this and Femme together just for fairness, am I? Well, for CB1 and a -2, you get Femme. Femme becomes a Vanguard until end of turn, so you +1, then Femme gets to Drive Check on attack as a Vanguard, so it’s a +0 wash plus whatever soft advantage you can get from the opponent over-guarding Femme. Femme IS VG circle only, so Early Game if you feel as though you need the extra Drive for whatever reason go ahead and use the Soul, but let’s talk about in conjunction with Fianna.

Witch of Reality, Femme

Fianna herself will on a good day grant 10k, and will continue to do so until the opponent calls over the Grade 0s. Big sad, that means mirage play decks like Nubatama shouldn’t have too much difficulty. Actually come to think of it, the opponent’s plan to slow Fianna down basically comes down to just calling not very much and rely on one solid Vanguard if they can help it, so Dragonic Overlord the X comes to mind. Majesty Lord can make its own rear-guards disappear, Narukami can Rising Phoenix or bind call their way out…so really I would say V Witches didn’t solve the problem the old Witch deck had at all – it is ENTIRELY reliant on the opponent moving how you want to. It’s especially bad since this deck relies on going second, to just make sure the opponent has G0s in the drop zone for the deck to even use, and in this day and age that slowness relative to reward just isn’t good enough.

Too slow, doesn’t even get rid of a problem lane right then and there compared to hard retire, and Femme’s only redeeming feature is the extra drive if the opponent has no G0s. Sad that the last Shadow Paladin deck isn’t great, but what does it matter at this point?
