[AUTO](VC):When placed, choose one of your additional (RC), and it becomes the stage until end of that fight. (Until end of this fight, the stage becomes your only additional (RC), and move all Accel markers to the stage) [ACT](VC)1/Turn:COST [Counter Blast (1) & Discard a card from your hand], call up to two cards with “Magia Doll” in their different card names from your soul to (RC), and they get [Power]+5000 until end of turn. If your opponent’s vanguard is grade 3 or greater, you may call up to four cards instead of two cards.

So we’ve gotten around to the new Set, sorry for the wait. And kicking us off is a pretty unusual one, but I’ll explain what the hell a stage is: when you ride Harri, one of your Accel Circles turns into a stage. For the rest of the fight that Accel Circle becomes the only one where you can put additional rear-guards, and any other Accel Circles you acquire gets stacked instead onto your stage (so if you obtain two Accel 1 circles, they combine instead into one single Accel Circle granting the rear-guard on it 20k instead of 10k). Also, should Harri set a stage up as a secpnd ride, any Accel Circles already out then combine into the stage.

So is that actually any good as a strategy, to put all the eggs into one basket? I would normally say no, if the deck could abuse that one circle with regularity, but unfortunately, since Harri is entirely tied to the Magia Doll archetype to function, despite the fact it’s a potential +4, I’d rather have the ability to call multiples of something useful rather than different named units so I have quality over quantity, because the Magia Dolls don’t do a whole lot unless you can actually stack multiples, and you can’t – no stacking Peryton to build hand, no lots of Prana to reinforce the front row, you get the idea.

I’d wait for another set before Magia Dolls get any good, but the next Pale Moon support will for sure bolster Harri, he didn’t get an evolved Grade 3 this set after all. Pick up to future-proof but don’t run him in a tournament yet.
