Card Strategy- Uses of Avarice Totem( Fifth Dawn)

Hello fellow gamers....this is uses for a card that may seem.....well...stupid but is great when you use it PROPERLY

Avarice Totem.....a 1 colorless mana artifact that when 5 more colorless is paid allows you to switch control of this with a non-land permanent....pretty straightforward strategy is snatch something good from your opponent then shatter the totem so they cannot get their permanent back......but what if they have a Teeka's Dragon(Homelands I believe....or Mirage) or Draco(Planeshift)....you don't want that card to be there.....you don't have any shatters(Mirrodin and earlier) left and you can't go away fairly unscathed from a shatterstorm(Some old set....can't remember).....what do you do....

Simple....snatch the Dragon or Draco......or whatever it is.....and then use.....SHRAPNEL BLAST!!!(Mirrodin)

Not only will that pesky artifact creature be dead.....but your opponent takes a major hit as well.....

P.S.: If you know what the name of and where I can get the card that turns all permanents into artifacts or something similar that would be great for this combo as well.....thank you for your time.
