Subject: Kevin Bopp type 1 Sligh

I play this deck at local tournaments and it does very well. It holds up early game and bashes through with inexpensive instants and creatures. Cursed Scroll really pulls through in the late game with the 2 damage per turn startegy. Fireblast is a more than viable finisher, and the necessary Lightning Bolts and Incinerates provide early game pressure. Wastelands are used to get rid of the dual lands which are very apparent in the type 1 metagame (as well as Tolarian
Academy) and Strip Mine is good for dealing with any type of land (specifically "man-lands" such as Treetop Village). Null Rod shuts down many artifact based decks and Price of Progress also hurts the people who play non-basic lands.
