It works!  Here is the official Summoning Sickness rule- "Creatures with

summoning sickness cannot attack or use abilities requiring T to activate." 

T meaning the tap symbol on cards.  (but, this combo can't be used in most

tourneys since earthcraft is banned everywhere except T1 and T1.5)
