The planeshift Tri Lands have their ups and downs. one up is that they produced three colors of mana that is allied to one specific color. The most obvious drawback is that you must return a land to your hand when you play them. Since they are not legendary you can have more than one out at a time. They also work great in two color decks that splash another color for 1 or 2 cards. The biggest problem i have run into about using them is if you draw a perfect hand with only Tri Lands you are totally screwed. you can't play one because you don't have one to return. This can also go for the filter lands of Odyssey. you can have as many of those out as you want and without one more place to get mana you are totally screwed. I recomend using only 2 of these lands in a deck because any other amount and your odds of being stuck with only those lands is far to great.
