Spiritmonger
by Elvish P.

Hello fellow Magic:TG players!!!  When I was attending the Apocalypse
Pre-Release a week ago, I was drafting and I pulled a lot of crap but the
person sitting next to me (Eric) pulled a foil Spirit Monger in his first
pack.  I was like, cool, foil rare.  He let me see it and I was amazed.  For
people who do not know what it does, the spoiler is right here.

Spirit Monger-
Casting Cost- 1 Black, 1 Green, 3 Colorless
Built in Abilites- Whenever it deals damage, put a +1 +1 counter on Spirit
Monger
Abilities- 1 Black, Regenerates or 1 Green, Changes to color of your chose
Power/Toughness- 6/6

First of all, this card is almost broken.  Key word- ALMOST.  It is a 6/6 for
5 mana which and no drawbacks is great.  Regenerate and +1 +1's make it
dominate.   But then there is Terminate or any other creature-kill cards.  I
would think it would be a 9 on a scale of 1-10.  It would work well in a
Black/Green Beatdown but I have my own little deck.

8 Forest
8 Swamps
4 Cave of Koilos
4 Llanowar Wastes
4 Blastoderm
4 Phyrexian Scuta
4 Ebony Treefolk
4 Spirit Monger
4 Chimeric Idol
4 Phyrexian Arena
4 Death Grasp
4 Pernicious Deed
4 Vindicate

In this deck, its all about beatdown.  I didn't want to use Snuff Out since
you can't get rid of Black Creatures.  I put in Vindicate as a substitude
since you can remove anything making it very versatile.  The Phyrexian Arena
helps out alot since major card advantage but it takes your life down.  Death
Grasp hurts your opponent and replenishes your life.  And just incase your in
trouble, Pernicious Deed can help you stall a while.  Well, this is my little
summary of Spirit Monger and I hoped you liked it.
