v0rac10u5’s Deck Garage
Don’t Feed Them After Midnight

March 10, 2008

Hello v0rac10u5,

I'm kind of a new player to magic and ive only been playing for a few months but im decently well. i pretty much run a typical neewbie black & red goblin deck which right now im just using for messing around with my friends and it seems to run very well. but i was thinking it would run better if i added in another Mad Auntie, Goblin Warcheif, and if i can find one (preferably two) Goblin King. Currently all this deck it only running off of two deck the deck from the Goblins vs Elves combo pack and the boggast feast deck. I would like to put this deck up to a tournament worthy level but ive never done one before so before i go making a big commitment i want to make sure the deck can hold its own. please Help!?!!?? i love running the card Goblin Warcheif, mad Auntie, Seige Gang commander, and Boggart Mob. i realize Goblin decks aren't really muscle decks but more of evil little trick decks that do easy damage but those are cards id like to keep.

(25)Creatures:
Reckless One x1
Goblin Warcheif x1

Mad Auntie x1
Goblin matron x1
Boggart Mob x1
Seige-gang Commander x1
Goblin Sledder x1
Lowland Oaf x2
Facevaulter x2
Boggart Harbinger x2
Mudbutton Torchrunner x 2
Mogg War Marshal x2
Warren pilferers x2
Tar Pitcher x2
Raging goblin x2
Hornet Harasser x2

(10)spells
Tarfire x3
Boggart Birth Rite x2
Taste For Mayhem x2
Fodder Launch x1
Boggart Shenanigans x2

(26)Land
Goblin burrows x1
Forgotten Cave x1
Mountain x 12
Swamp x12

Total card count: 61

I run thsi deck very aggressively and my strategy changes from time to time depending on my opening hand. usually though i basically like to get tout my heavy hitters like Boggart mob and Seige-Gang Commander with the combination of Mad Auntie and goblin Warcheif. I like making my puny creatures bigger and then bashing away at my opponents while also sacking the weaker dudes for cards like tarfire or Tar pitcher. I would really appreciate your help. money wise i have anywhere from 20-30 dollars to spend on cards so that shouldn't be a problem. thanks in advance!

I have good news and bad news. The good news is that goblins are pretty good right now and shouldn’t fair too badly if you chose to build it up. The bad news is that is going far more than thirty dollars. I’ll write up the best version I can come up with, and I will leave it up to you whether you want to put the money into it.

The first step is to add the early drops. You will need at least eight one-drops and eight two-drops. Knucklebone Witch, Mogg Fanatic, Mogg Warmarshall, and Wierding Shaman all fit the bill. Step two is adding the big cards that really give your opponents hell, like Mad Auntie, Earwig Squad, and Siege-Gang Commander. Through in a couple of removal spells and you are good to go. This deck hits hard and fast, and still has a lot of late game potential. Fry a couple of people for me.
