v0rac10u5’s Deck Garage
The Cemetery
February 4, 2008

Hello,

The format of my deck is standard.  The deck is basically about Haakon with nameless inversion and crib swap.  Also I am using Terferi to stall.  I am trying to get Akroma, angel of wrath (for black and red deck and Akroma, angel of fury for the blue and white decks) in the graveyard so I could bring out Cairn Wanderer.  Even though this is high mana cost, I have lotus bloom to get mana and some charges lands.  Also for lilina vess to search and discard.  Careful consideration is for drawing and discarding such as Haakon and Akroma.  So do you think this is a reasonable deck???

(2)-Beacon of Unrest (10th Edition)

The Haakon/Inversion combo is pretty solid. The deck is typically straight black or black splashing white for Crib Swap. Likewise, I would cut blue in this deck. Black gives you a bunch of discard outlets and Teferi seems out of place in this deck. I am also going to cut the Cairn Wanderer/Akroma combo. If Buried Alive were still legal, this combo would be amazing, but, without it, it is slow and awkward.

After the cuts, we need to add in the missing pieces. Oona’s Prowler is a solid guy and enables your discard. Smallpox enables your discard and its drawbacks are minimal with the right additions to the deck. Stromgald Crusader is one of the best cards in the deck. It can pump and gain flying, as well as come back from the dead along with Haakon. Flagstones of Trokair interacts well with Smallpox and is a solid card overall.
