Allosaurus Rider

This was part of a five-card cycle in Coldsnap that references Alliances' Force of Will and friends - you pitched twice as many cards and got a larger effect. It's hard to get much larger than Force of Will, but they gave it a good try. Allosaurus Rider promises a creature quite above the curve, even by modern design standards; constantly-growing creatures are also perpetually appealing, especially since it is in the right colors (and creature types) to combine with some highly efficient land-searching. In more cutthroat settings, this was never quite enough for it to see widespread adoption, but this card certainly has a place in more casual settings - even just adding an extra layer of meaning to cards like Cultivate that would otherwise be weak late in the game makes it worth a look.
