Vial Smasher the Fierce

This week we'll be looking at things from the recent Commander supplement, and from the looks of it, the format is getting even crazier than it was before. For example, I see Vial Smasher and I think of red's huge chaos spells like Warp World, and I think of how your deck can be four colors with the right partner (it's like banding for Commander, except more powerful!) and how you might ramp into it surprisingly early, copy it with Dualcaster Mage, and spend about an hour resolving everything. I think that's pretty much the most EDH-ish thing you could do, actually.

Vial Smasher the Fierce (6/19)

Vial Smasher is pretty simple: enable you to do fun things with another Partner commander, and get a bit of upside. The triggered ability is pretty weak (though a bit of extra damage is always good), but it’s a good supplement to any Grixis or spellslinger-type deck you might try to make work in Commander.
