Insidious Will

Insidious Will is an interesting card to try and assess. On the one hand, four mana is somewhat more than you'd usually expect to pay for any one of these effects. But on the other, you're not really paying for that effect: you're paying for the option to use any of those effects you choose, while taking up fewer cards in your deck than you'd usually spend to have those options. The fact that it's only one of those at a time means that it might have a hard time displacing the likes of Cryptic Command from the larger tournament formats, but it's a good option for everyday use, and can turn a game around if used correctly.

Insidious Will (11/17)

For four mana, you get the flexibility to choose between Twincast, Redirect, and Counterspell. Having to pay four mana isn't great, and it's certainly more than either of these spells would cost on their own, but it’s a useful way to compress multiple roles into a single card.

The issue with Insidious Will is that, again, it's a bit awkward with its high mana cost and the need to leave mana up, a play that oft telegraphs itself. But even with it being an easy play to read at times, it's still a nice tool for the control player and their toolbox.
