But for the parts about Clues, this card could easily have appeared in Battle for Zendikar. There are already countless reasons to play lots of lands and take advantage of both Zendikar blocks' mechanics, and most of them involve getting extra value out of cards in one form or another. As such, it might feel unnecessary to have one that actually draws extra cards; but that's not the full character of this card, as it can be used equally in a deck that cares about artifacts in play, +1/+1 counters, or just anything that wants to add a minor card-drawing dimension to a strategy that would otherwise lack it.
