Windbrisk Raptor

This is what white gets instead of Dragons.  Do you like Dragons?  Do you want to play them in a white deck?  Then you play this.  It's huge, it has flying, and it has a cool ability that can give you a big life swing.  Heck, I'd play it.

Constructed- 2.5
Casual- 4.5
Limited- 4

Friday - Windbrisk Raptor

This is a cool card, and would be good in a control deck with white, but it faces stiff competition from the much better Twilight Shepherd. Persist and a powerful ability that is synergistic with it are better than lifelink for everyone (especially since, in a control deck, you probably won't have many guys on the board to take advantage of it). Also, 7 mana is a LOT, and certainly disqualifies it from being played in WW. So, it won't get played in standard. However, I could see this being a fun new card for reanimator to play with.

In limited, this is a bomb. If they don't have a kill spell for it, you'll probably win the game.

Constructed - 2
Casual - 3
Limited - 4

I could see this being a tier 2 finisher in control decks - it wins in four attacks and keeps your life total well out of burn range. Seven toughness is no joke either. It's also a genuine limited bomb. At my Shadowmoor pre-release, someone had a deck with this card and Mirrorweave. He ended one game on 78 life.

Yet another in the line of great, but too expensive creatures.  The fact it only gives your guys lifelink is solid.  The 5/7 stats on flying is real solid.  The 7 CC is not so solid.  However, reanimate this guy early.  You have a game.  I would not be surprised to see this guy show up in reanimator decks if the hate ever subsides for that kind of deck.  You can't get much better in limited.

Windbrisk Raptor

TGIF, Eventide is here!!!

Constructed: To expensive for Standard. Block it could work but then again the mana cost is high.

Casual: Great card to have in multi-player. Slowly build your army and the BAM! Drop the little birdie into play and start swinging and start the life gain.

Limited: Good solid creature for 7 mana. It's toughness will make it a great blocker even against wither. Unless they have a creature with deathtouch or a direct way of killing it, it usually means game over. The lifelink ablitiy puts the icing on the cake.

Overall a okay card. This one player keep getting it out of packs, so he has like 5 or 6 of them it anyone would like to trade....

Constructed: 2

Casual: 3

Limited: 3

Have a good weekend and enjoy Eventide.

Miguel
