Mistbind Clique

Played on an opponent's upkeep, after they untap, it's effectively a 4/4 flier with haste plus a Time Walk on your opponent. All for four mana and a faerie. You need good incentive NOT to play this if you're in Faeries

Constructed- 4.5
Limited- 4
Casual- 4

Thursday - Mistbind Clique

A neat card for faerie decks, as you get a quasi-Mana Short plus a win condition all for four mana. It does require you to Champion something, but there's good options for that in the deck (try Pestermite). I don't think this deck is better than the main U/B deck currently in the environment, however. Still, this is a solid card, and you have almost no reason not to play it if you're using a Faerie deck.

The same goes for limited, although the body is the better part of the deal here.

Constructed - 3.5
Casual - 4
Limited - 3.5

Mistbind Clique

I missed Mana Short very much when it left Standard (my favorite format!), but Mistbind Clique might be the next best thing, at least for Faerie decks. Even so, you can very nearly fit it in with four Faerie Conclave and four Mutavault. It doesn't usually fit in the same maindeck as Sower of Temptation as they attack different kinds of opponents, but they are both very good at what they do.

Constructed: 4/5 (for decks with lots of Faeries)

A 4/4 for 4 mana and a essentially a free turn is pretty good, except that it has Champion. The fact that is taps all of the opponent's lands is a further incentive for the opponent to kill it before their mana is tapped out whereas it might have been left alone had it not tapped any lands. The Flash with Champion can save a creature though, but then its land tapping ability is less relevant. Not bad, but not extremely good.

In casual, it's a 4/4 flier that gives you a free turn, has Flash for blocks which means it's all around good.

Thursday's card is Mistbind Clique. You get a 4/4 for 4 mana with Flash and Flying and with Champion, you can save a faerie in play from a burn spell or kill card. When it comes into play, you get a Mana Short effect so this is really good to cast at the end of the opponent's turn. For targets to Champion, I'd say Pestermite, Sower of Temptations perhaps, or any Faerie ypui want to save from certain death and as a bonus shut down your opponent's turn. Unlike Wednesday's card, this is a Faerie control card as you'll need a Faerie in play to champion.

Limited:3/5
Constructed:4/5
