Tim Stoltzfus Mirror Universe

What? What is this doing here? This card is way too good to be featured this week! Mirror Universe used to be more powerful when the game only checked for player death at end of each phase, instead of players immediately losing at zero life like they do now. As it is, Mirror Universe is definitely a fun trick. By today’s standards, it may actually not be good enough, though. In Vintage and Legacy, the formats are too fast to really make use of this card’s power. On the plus side, this card is illustrated by one of my all time favorite Magic artists, Phil Foglio! But sadly, that doesn’t make it much better. As for limited play, see my comments earlier in the week about playing limited with Arabian Nights.

Mirror Universe

Wow, Mirror Universe is one of those cards that can do what i like to call a "BS comeback". It
can pull you out of that losing hand and put right in the winner's circle...square.... whatever you basically are winning at the moment.
The downside is that the card is very expensive, not Black Lotus Expensive, but let's say i don't want
to fork out $50.00 for a card. Making it an artifact makes it even more dangerous, because you can put it with cards like Disciple of the Vault
or Ritual of Restoration. Maby even combine in Form of the Dragon?

Final Thoughts:

Overall, Mirror Universe is a good control card. The expense of it is the only thing holding me back,
but what would you expect from an artifact with a really good effect that came from legends.
