This Week's Card Selector

This card is a no-brainer in limited.  Kills small creatures, pings things - a definite play if you have mountains in your deck.

I chose this card for it's constructed uses.  Red is not the best at protecting it's creatures, and this one does have a very small butt.  First strike and decent power does make it somewhat powerful in environments where about the only thing with a butt bigger than 4 is Roar of the Wurm.  Even with that, it only takes a block, ping, shock, and it's dead, Jeska still standing.
I see it's usefulness, but I also hesitate with it being a Legend.  You really would not want to play 4 because of this, but it's something you might wanna zip down fast, especially to apply some early offensive pressure before it goes on D.  This card will have to be further playtested, but I see potential here.

Constructed - 3.5
Limited - 4.75

Jeska is an ok creature especially in limited where her "Tim" ability can be very useful. Still she seems a bit overcosted with RR@ casting cost. I don't think she really makes the cut in constructed due to her 1 toughness and the RR in the casting cost but her haste can be useful.

Total crap in Constructed, this card is very solid in Limited play and
should always make the cut.  The value of pingers in limited has been proven
time and again, and the fact that she can smash face on an empty field the
turn you cast her is also not bad.  1 in Constructed, 3.5 in Limited.

I like Jeska a lot.  I think any deck that has a heavy red component should seriously try playing her.  She's constant damage one way or the other.  Also, she first strikes which doesn't hurt.

In limited, you can definitely take her and play her if you are in red.  No reason to pass her up as far as I can tell.

I had Jeska in my deck for the team qualifier a few weeks ago. I only got
her out twice (my deck was so quick I rarely made it past the 10th turn) but
she's great when you have her out. Not game breaking like Kamhal, but really
solid. A good first pick.
