Great
in weenie white - gives it the oomph to beat sligh
and some other burn decks. A great common.
In limited, lots of
creatures get played, so you might as well gain a
lot of life from them

Seems like a fun
addition to a White Weenie deck. At first glance,
1 life doesn't seem like a lot, but since you can
play it turn 1, this can really add up in an
annoying way. Get a couple on the board, and it'll
really annoy your opponent, in a Well-wisher kinda
way. For your opponent, it's also like Wellwisher
in that they want to kill the sucker, but hate to
have to use a burn spell on the puny runt, yet at
the same time, they will just to get rid of the
headache.
Especially useful in constructed as it fits in
well with themes. Also a nice addition in the
limited environment which is usually
creature-based.

One of my favorite
creatures. A quick first turn play, you get
power and toughness each equal to the casting
cost. Then, throw in the fact that you get one
life for each other creature that comes into
play, and you get a great creature that will
make most decks that can produce white mana the
first turn. Something like this being reprinted
might go a long way toward white becoming a good
color again.
In limited, it's
just as good, if not better, with the number of
creatures that are played.

White Weenie with stall. I think this card kicks
not
only in limited but constructed. P/T equal to cc.
and a
nifty ability.

Soul Warden - As one
drops go she is pretty darn good. Not enough of a
threat to draw early removal the small life gains
turn after turn can really add up, especially in
creature heavy formats. Not as good as a Mother of
Runes, still one of White's most solid 1 drops.
Constructed - WW needs
good 1 drops but there are already some good ones
out there like the Mother or the Lions. This card
probably takes 3rd place and can be nice in a lot
of matchups - 3.50
Limited - She
really shines in limited where quick drops aren't
as common and there are a lot of creatures - 4.25
PEZ (Peasant) - One
of the best 1 drops and an almost automatic
addition to White Weenie builds - 4.80 |
