I remember when I first read this card in the spoilers I thought it was a
joke.  It is one of the best creatures ever made and is very playable.
Obviously a complete and utter bomb in limited.  C: 4, L:5

This guy ran me over in Regionals, not that I wasn't prepared for him, I just couldn't ever catch him alone with my baseball bat. Instead I kept having to Edict away stupid little squirrels. A pox on this guy!

Fattie Rating: Good lord this guy is a monster.

YES! Mmmmmm..... Creeeeeatuuuures.

Seriously though.  This guy is a house.  Not just any house.  Like a big house.  Like if you were Donald Trump and you just wanted to waste some money on a house...you would call it spiritmonger.

Oh, yeah...a review is supposed to be here...ummm....

This card is good, real good.

Creature Rating :  Please hammer don't hurt'em OR Too legit to quit!

Rating 1 to 10 scale where 1 is Twiggy and 10 is Jennifer Lopez, this guy is about a 14 on the Hugest Ass Ever sale.  I still want to know what they were smoking.  I think WotC was toking the pipe....AGAIN!  Huge, undercost, and does three things.  Yeah, but does he kill Morphling?  The answer:  Eventually.

Constructed - 4.5
Limited - 5
Current Price - $
9.00
Fat-Ass:  Yes.  Undoubtedly, yes.

Judge Bill
... the beast from the East. Normally black, so he can't be killed by most black spells. Regenerates, so it gets around red's removal. And gets bigger. Needs trample, but hey, you can't have it all.

Constructed ****

Spiritmonger is flat out a bomb in Limited.  A 5cc 6/6 creature with 3, count 'em THREE special abilities isn't just a house... it's the whole damn neighborhood.  Spiritmonger is finally seeing play in constructed now that Green AND Black are good enough to finally give this fattie some support!

He is the current Grand Poobah of creatures. It seems that about 33% of regionals winners had this guy. He is huge and very hard to kill. G/B looks to be good for a long time and this guy along with his friend Mr. P. Deed will be leading the charge. His cost is reasonable especially with G or B's mana accelerators.

Constructed: 4 Stars

A 6/6 fatty that gets bigger, regenerates, and can
change colors?  It must be broken.  The problem, of
course, is that it doesn't have any sort of evasion.
With that, it probably would have gotten the full 5
rating.  It's still not that bad, though.
