Alright I have my main
three figures now I need some support. So who do I pick?
Today were going to have some fun with lists. I love lists
and as VH1 drives into my head with a rail road spike, lists
and rankings are the BEST THING EVER or were they the
TOTALLY AWESOMIST thing ever. Either way, we’re going to be
reviewing pieces by their supportive abilities AKA
non-offensive abilities (for the most part). So who is the
best Medic? Whose the best Outwitter? Keep your pants on and
we’ll get there.
Also note that while Ares is the Biggest Outwitter that
certainly does not mean he’s the best. Just for an example.
TOTTALLY AWESOME OUTWITTERS:
Candidates:
Nightwing V
Black Panther R
Abby Chase R (any are good)
Kraven V
Red Robin U
Prometheus U
Mysterio V (and I stand by that choice)
Dr. Strange V Fantastic Forces
Batman E (Starter Set)
WHY THE WINNER IS: There are several things to look at here.
First off, outwit needed to be on the first click to qualify
for inclusion.
Second outwit needed to be able to be used to help others
not just that character. An example is Fantomex is a nice
little piece, but with a 3 damage and a high point value
he’s going to have to outwit his targets’ defense. While Dr.
Strange has psychic blast and does not need to outwit
defense, so Dr. Strange qualifies. Incapacitate was also
something that qualified somebody as well.
There are so many solid pieces in here. While several like
Abby Chase were hard to hit, they could not hit back. While
others were good, but could have their outwit, outwitted. So
stealth and hitting were the priority.
THE WINNER: Dr. Strange V and Batman E (starter set) were a
dead tie. Both can hit, Strange more then Batman or course
and depending on your points both make a solid outwit
choice. (And the 6 point Alfred Pog gives Dr. Strange (wild
card) stealth, thus he qualifies.)

Hydra Medic V
Paramedic Any
Checkmate Medic V
Jean Gray V
I WILL NOT INCLUDE THE RETIRED LE MEDIC JANE FOSTER
Easy Company Medic V
Intergang Medic Any
XORN U
Ghost Widow
WHY THE WINNER IS: Jane Foster is the best, cheap and will
power would win it. But frankly not many people own one and
she’s retired so I see no point in saying she’s it. Jean
Gray will need to be able to be pushed and she only has that
single click of it. Xorn is a little too pricey. Checkmate
is nice for fighting and has a long dial, but the no team
ability hurts him too much. I value the Police Team ability
a lot, so in a wild card Easy Company V would be good. Yet,
in a wild card scenario I’d rather have a bunch of
Outwitters so Intergang Medic would be better. But Paramedic
is efficient and cheap. Very cheap. 2 rookie Paramedics are
cheaper then 1 Easy Company Medic.
But frankly none of these hold a candle to the sheer power
of Ghost Widow.
THE WINNER: Ghost Widow. She has support, 18 defense, City
of Villains team AKA Mystics, phasing, flying and poison and
2 damage so she gets through War Zone. The poison is great,
because if somebody bases her to stop the healing, they’ll
take poison damage. She is nothing short of brutal.
TOTTALLY AWESOME PROBABLITY CONTROL:
Candidates:
Black Cat E
Destiny R
Jinx Any
Batman E Legacy
Domino Any
Scarlet Witch (pick a set)
Loki
WHY THE WINNER IS: This is such a hard choice. They’ve
really stepped it up the last few sets. Batman and Scarlet
Witch are a touch too pricey for my taste. Domino is
amazing, but is not a wildcard. Loki, Black Cat and Jinx are
all wild cards and with the Sue Storm thing Wild Cards can
be pretty nice. Loki and Black Cat are extremes though,
Black cat is not enough points under Jinx to be worth it and
Loki is WAY more expensive then Jinx.
THE WINNER IS: DESTINY or JINX! They’re a tie, because it
depends on your team build. If your other figures do not
have many team abilities worth copying then Destiny is the
obvious choice. Jinx can be abused the most and has the
ability to be a great secondary attacker. She has a
collection of the best abilities and if the vet started with
energy shield she’d be the best figure ever made (well…Galactus
might still be). Although don’t discount the power of 2
Destinys instead of one Jinx. It all just depends on your
team.

THE WINNER IS: Perplex is still too powerful for an 11 point
