Today's review is Enchantress from Legacy

She used to be a bad guy and is now kickin it with a bunch of other weirdos in the Shadowpact.  Day of Vengeance was cool, Shadowpact kinda sucks so far.

The best by far is the Vet.

By popular demand (well…Seth from AOL), I am including the pictured stats in case Cram isn’t around. (actually, this is a lot easier for me too)

She is 75 points, a flier, 8 range 2 targets, and a member of the Suicide Squad

Speed:  Phasing gets you where you need to go, no complaints…well maybe a click of running shot would be nice

Attack:  Near full dial of Psychic Blast is always nice

Defense: 17 is average these days but Super Senses helps, if she gets hit she gets hit hard

Damage: 2 with 2 of Shape Change, good Nanobots potential

The Good:  Phasing gives her good mobility

Carry a Lian Harper then push all you want

Super Senses and Shape Change make her very hard to hit

                     Able to hurt anyone

The Bad:   Numbers drop pretty fast

                    Glass Jaw

Far as I know, Psy Blast does not work with 2 targets (don’t quote me on that)

Feats:  Here is where she becomes above average…ICWO for damage, Camouflage to give her stealth, Nanobots to heal; Protected to keep her alive if someone actually hits her.

Overall:  Man am I in love with this piece.  Don’t get me wrong, she only really has two clicks, but those two clicks are amazing. Before the change to Shape Change, she was mediocre at best.  It is a completely different game now, and Camouflage is what keeps her special.  Keeping her in stealth means she will need to be based, then the Super Senses and Shape Change make her extremely hard to hit.  You don’t even need Nanobots, because her team will keep her on those sweet clicks.  I have seen her used a lot recently in tournaments (I used her in one).  In the ones I didn’t use her; the winner used her and only lost her once or not at all.  When I used her, she never took a click outside of pushing and poison once.  Also, outwit does not hurt her that much, because she has so many options if one thing is gone she really will not be hurting.  She is a gem and in 300 points she’s okay, but in 400 or more she is a great go-to secondary attacker.

CORRECTION: Thanks to Jamie for pointing out my brain fart in the Ganthet Review.  When I said Inspiring Command is good for him, I was still thinking he was a GLC member, not Quintessence.  Sorry guys.

2: Phasing, Psychic Blast, Super Senses, Shape Change
3-4: Psychic Blast
5-6: none

Good news? Rookie Enchantress is one of the game's cheaper Mystics. She also has a potent defensive combo of both Super Senses and the improved Shape Change to avoid attacks entirely. Bad news? She has it for just one click -- the only click where she's neither highly mediocre or worse. Even her one good point, her TA, is better found on, say, Vet Zatanna or any number of Thunderbolted Avengers.

Feats:
DOUBLE-TIME can get her off her activation click to her single useful click. And CAMOUFLAGE can help keep her there. But why waste the points on feats that are usable for just one click each?

Themes:
She's part of the Shadowpact, so you could team her with V Blue Devil, the Det. Chimp pog and I forget who else.

Comic accurate?
I dunno.

In sum:
It bears repeating; she has ONE GOOD CLICK. And her TA is almost worthless since it'll take just one solid hit to make her worthless. Trash.

Rating: 1.5/5...a half-point for Mystics.

Powers and analysis:
1: Earthbound
2-3: Phasing, Psychic Blast, Super Senses, Shape Change
4: Phasing, Psychic Blast, Super Senses
5-6: Psychic Blast

Just 7 points buys an extra good click, making Exp.
Enchantress twice as good as the Rookie. The downside is the loss of Mystics to deter attacks, but Suicide Squad + pogs can make her a tough KO in her own right.
Psychic Blast all the way to the end means she stays a threat until that KO.

Feats:
DOUBLE-TIME and especially CAMOUFLAGE are better still on the Exp. You can DT her right into the battle but keep her mostly safe from enemy range attacks. Worst case, you force the enemy to burn an Outwit on her Shape Change instead of on a prime attacker.

Themes:
See Rookie. Also try Suicide Squad.

Comic accurate?
Dunno.

In sum:
As playable as the Rookie is not, you could do worse than Exp. Enchantress. She's not very durable, but for the points she can be a real thorn.

Rating: 2.5/5.

Veteran Enchantress

Another six-click dial, but what a huge upgrade the Vet is! First, there's no more activation click (in effect, it's been moved to her last slot). Second, the Vet starts with a respectable 10 attack. Third, a range boost to 8 puts her out of easy Charge range.
Fourth, two targets give her the option of pinging multiple targets with her PB. Suicide Squad works better than ever for her due to no more risk of healing back to a powerless activation click, so make sure she's always near a pog with a token. More than anything, though, the recent boost to Shape Change makes her defensively potent.

Feats:
She's still fragile, so the shot-preventing CAMOUFLAGE is practically mandatory for her. NANOBOTS works, too, but I'd stick with one or the other to keep her inexpensive.

Themes:
See Rookie and Experienced.

In sum:
Attackers have to get past at least three die rolls to deal her damage. With Suicidal Squad pogs, you can render that damage null and void with just ONE die roll. That's incomparable.

Rating: 4/5.
