Today we are going to be looking at ASP from the Fantastic Forces Set.

Asp is uhh…the leader of the Snake People.  Her name Asp, is derived from the word……Aspen, because she loves her some skiing.  He clothes are made entirely of cotton for breathable fighting.  I HAVE NO IDEA WHO SHE IS….sorry I have let you all down.  I will never lie again.  I swear on my 6 foot 9 Nubian body.

Cost and Abilities:

Rookie = 27 Points, 4 clicks of life, 4 range/single target , Serpent Society team ability

Experienced = 34 Points, 5 clicks of life, 4 range/single target, Serpent Society Ability Team Ability

Veteran = 39 Points, 5 clicks of life, 6 range/single target, Serpent Society Team Ability

Which is best?  This test is not too hard.  The difference between the Veteran and Rookie is 12 points.  But what you get is so much.  1 more click of life, 2 more range, 2 more clicks of psychic blast, 1 more damage and attack.  It’s just astounding.  The clear winner is the veteran.

Movement:  7 with that very important first click of stealth.

Attack:  9,7,7,8,7.  First click is psychic blast, the next two are poison, then psychic blast again.

Defense: 15,15,14,14,13.  This is really the big weak point.

Damage: 3,1,1,2,2.  No abilities.  But the jump around is very clever.

Sculpt:  She’s pretty much an evil hot woman in a toga.  Which you can see at any sorority party.

Team Ability:  Finally a really playable member of the Serpent Society.

Feats:  Nothing should be put on her.  There is no reason to drive up the point cost.

Battle Field Condition  Power Dampening Field seems to be what I say for everyone.  But it’d be good for her too.

How to Beat Her:  You really just need to see through the stealth roll like a 4 and hit her pretty much out of existence.  The key is you do have to hit her if she is in range of you.  Her attack is devastating.  Running up a POG on her will take away her psychic blast option until you want to deal with her.

How to Play Her:  Think of her like the ultimate telekinesis dumpster.  Toss her at an opponent and make sure she hits for at least three.  I would perplex her up once or twice and make sure she hits with a Destiny or something.  She could hit KC Superman for 5 clicks.

Overview:  Psychic Blast is the best offensive weapon in the game outside of Hyper Sonic Speed/super strength combo.  She is pretty much the cheapest person with it and her 3 attack is great.  She is perhaps one of the most usable characters in the game.  She has her weaknesses and has a glass jaw, but so do lots of great characters.  If you have a team with  Medics and cheap heavy hitters with glass jaws, a lot of people will have no idea who to hit?  In the mean time you can pound them.  Asp or Professor X will be the best character in the set who are not LE’s.

Overall Score:

4.5/5 300 Points

4.5/5 400 Points

4.5/5 500 Points
