Tigra
Fantastic Forces

Reviewed 07.15.2005

Average Rating: 2

Ratings are based on a 1 to 5 scale
1 being the worst. 3 ... average.
5 is the highest rating

darioferni This is Tigra, from Fantastic Forces, too:

Rookie 40p, no range, 1 target, Avengers TA, 6 clicks of life
Exp. 46p, no range, 1 target, Avengers TA, 6 clicks of life
Vet. 54p, no range, 1 target, Avengers TA, 7 clicks of life

Stats

Speed: 10, 10, 8, 8, 7, 7, 6. Stars with one click of Stealth, followed by
two of Charge, then two of Leap/Climb and finally two of Flurry.

Attack: 10, 9, 8, 8, 7, 8, 9. B/C/F for the first four clicks.

Defense: 17, 16, 15, 15, 14, 14, 13. She has Super Senses for the firs four
clicks.

Damage: 2 all the way, except for the last click (which has 1). She sports
Exploit Weakness on the last three clicks.

Analysis: Well, I usually don’t like too much characters without at least a
6 range, but I’m a fan of big defenses, and overall this one deserves a good
look anyway. Seven clicks with so much Super Senses and a nice defense on
the first and second click means that (with a ‘lil’ luck) she’ll stay around
for a while. The attack values are nice for a piece of her cost, and with
B/C/F you’ll be doing 3/4 most time, which is cool too. On the movement
department, she has decent values and powers… Stealth will allow her to get
near her pray, and Charge will help. Leap/Climb lets her run back to a
medic, and Flurry… I guess it’s good to give a nice “bye-bye” if you have
decided to let her go…

Conclusion: Neat third string attacker. Definitely worth a try.

Ratings:
100 - 1/5 not a good idea…
200 - 1.5/5 a little better, but still…
300 - 2.5/5 here she works well
400+ – 3.5/5 here she can shine

I’m writing this from the road and do not have an Internet connection.  My apologizes if anything is wrong, but it shouldn’t be, because I’m nearly completely perfect.

Today we will be reviewing TIGRA from the new Fantastic Forces set.  Looking at Tigra I am relieved that Wiz Kids finally met my request to make a female figure with a hairy chest.

WHICH IS THE BEST:  Blades claws figures you only get one chance with and thus you need the highest attack possible.  Thus THE VETERAN is the best.

POINTS:  54, CLICKS 7, 0 range, Avengers Team Ability

MOVEMENT:  The movement is her worst problem.  She starts with stealth for a single click and then gains charge.  You really want charge at the front, if you hide her in stealth and push her, your opponent can fire at her, but if you run up your opponent will gain first attack.  She has a nice charge of 10 and then 8.  After that she gains leap climb and ends with one of my favorite abilities Flurry.

ATTACK:  10,9,8,8,7,8,9 She has blades for her first 4 clicks.  I really like the spike in attack at the end when she gains flurry.

DEFENSE:  17,16,15,15,14,14,13 with the first four clicks of Super Senses.

DAMAGE:  2 clicks while she has blades/claws then 2,2,1 with exploit weakness to finish off her clicks.

FEATS:  The Avengers team change ability is the correct call, but I’m not sure what you would want to change it too.  If you use the Batman ability you can push her to the charge click and still use the stealth or you can use the mystics to punish your opponents for whacking her.

BATTLE FIELD CONDITIONS:  Nothing, because it depends on the rest of your team.

HOW TO PLAY HER: Telekinesis her up to your opponent.  That is the only way to do it.  No telekinesis on your team?  Well don’t play with Tigra then.

HOW TO BEAT HER:  Smack her down before she gets close enough to attack.

OVERVIEW: She is like nearly everything in the Indy Set.  Not terrible by any means but not playable.  There are much cheaper characters that do the same thing (usually from the Indy Set).  She is an Avenger and has a nice finish, but with no range she is just not tough enough.
