You know, Quidditch has a legion of spells that provide damage and a positive effect. The positive effect of this card, a lesson discarded from your opponent's hand, comes at a painful price. You must also take four damage. I think most people would agree that this is not a "benefit" worth having. If you use this in a heavy discard deck, you can clear any lessons your opponent is holding, to remove the danger of this card biting the hand of (s)he who uses it. But in that case, you're still only getting four damage with no additional effect. I expect more from a Quidditch spell than that.

This card is way similar to Blocked! But this card is way better. If you have a deck that does damage, it doesn't matter how much damage you take. This card is only 3 power so you can play it fast. 4 damage isn't that much so it's less to you if they discard a lesson which they probably won't. Because of the low casting power you can play it early in the game when lessons are essential. I've never used this card and I've never seen anyone use it. But I don't see why you can't, it's not that bad at all.

This card isn't actually as bad as it seems it should be. If your opponent has a lesson to discard, you both take 4 damage, for a net gain of 0, but you've made him or her discard a valuable lesson from their hand. And if he or she doesn't have a lesson to discard (or chooses not to) then you've just done 4 damage for 3 power. Either way, not bad at all. Obviously fits into a discarding theme deck very well. =)
