Ah, 4 Privet Drive and Unusual Pets. The most hated cards, yet at the same time, some of the most played cards. 4 Privet devastates Spell decks, as well as most kinds of Draco Control decks. It also hurts most creature decks. Unusual Pets rips apart creature decks, yet is not quite as harmful as Privet. Most people detest these adventures and think they should be banned. However, I disagree. There are some good points to these cards. Most believe these cards almost destroy the balance of the card game, but I think they actually add balance. When you make any kind of deck, you have to take into consideration the fact that you may come up against these adventures. You have to decide how you will fight them before hand. I think when later sets come out, and there are Quidditch, Herbology, and any other kind of decks, that there will also be powerhouse adventures like these. This will also be good news for everyone. With more kinds of adventures like these, you're going to have to use less of each one. This wil l help people, as they will not be Priveted one after another (unless of course, the opponent decides to put 4 of each of these in their deck, which would be a major space waster). As for why Privet is more powerful then its counterpart, I think that's because there are only a handful of ways to deal with spells, while there are many, many ways to deal with creatures. However, I also think there are some bad points to these cards too. A good bit of the people who play this card game only use Privet, or a combonation of these two. This takes away the use of many other good adventures. It makes people less creative when making their decks, and means there isn't as much variety. I always try to use other adventures as well, but you almost have to give in to these two if you want to win (not neccesarily though). Anyway, that's what I think. I think these cards don't take away balance at all- they add it. And they shouldn't be banned. However, maybe they are a bit too powerful... This could be easily fixed by having a better reward however. Maybe this will come true in future sets. -zexty_dark (zexty_dark@yahoo.com)
