We're back after the holiday weekend with a look at The Best Lead Yet. This is a main wits 6 card that allows you to stack a location card on top of your deck. This is a card that sounds great, yet at the same time would take up a valuable event space in your deck and ultimately comes down to do I really need this card? A Clue for the Search costs less wits wise and has a much better effect. The best use for this card would be setting up that last turn to make sure that your location has enough points to win you the game. Or also setting up locations to play Catch the Train. It's got some utility in some decks, but many decks will find themselves putting this card aside for something better.

Constructed: 2/5-Limited use in certain decks
Sealed:1.5/5-6 wits may be a bit hard to come by.

Welcome to Alchemy Events week here at the Pojo FMA Card of the Day. Let's get started with Day 1: The Best Lead Yet from Artificial Human.

Main Wits 6: Search your location deck for a location card. Set it aside and shuffle your location deck. Put the chosen card on top of your location deck.

Ok. I like this effect. Almost 95% of a players deck can play this (except for those attached with Lots of Books...). Basically it lets you get home-field like advantage for the next turn. So if you think that you can take the game on your next turn, regardless of what happens in this turn, you can put that 3 point location to the top of your deck. If you behind and you don't think that you can win the game on the immediate next turn, play a 1 or 2 point location that you think you can win and start working your way back to the goal of 9. And mind you... this card is an uncommon, so you can easily pull 3, 4, or more depending on how many packs you buy from Artificial Human.... So it might actually be worth it a draft pick or two. Again, it's Wits 6 cost can easily be paid through Equivalent Exchange. So let's look at the numbers

Constructed: 4/5. Controlling the tide for future turns is a nice effect but there are other cards that allow you to actually switch the current location in play AND allows you to search for one. This is still however a good one in the event, you actually like the location being played for and you need to play the next one for the next turn. Still a nice card.

Limited: 3.75/5. Again, this is an uncommon card. If you're lucky, you're opponents might have already passed on their opportunity to get this card. This is definitely a second/third pack pick for booster drafts and it's definitely in your deck for sealed formats.

Hope you all had a good weekend and with a good rest of the week.
