Darktaro

Today we are looking at the newest Seven Deadly Sins spoiler Entombed. The card representing when Al trapped Kimbly in stone room and Kimbly felt the power of one of his own bombs. In the card game this is captured by making an ally unable to play any events or abilities.

The best thing about this card so far is that it is a main event. Afraid of an ally playing CTS? Target that ally. That Envy, Copycat, pulling out another Catch the Train? Target it after they pull it out to remove it from game. Facing an alchemy mirror match? Target Fletcher to stop the alchemy pump. Granted it is very situational, it is a good situational card.

The one thing that would stop this card from becoming great is if it could affect leaders too as they are the ones almost always worth stopping. Another downside is some decks may not always have the alchemy to play this card. Aside from those two this could potentially become a great addition to alchemy decks. For now we’ll have to see what other cards come out in Seven Deadly Sins.

Pros:
-Stops allies from playing their abilities and playing high cost events
-It is a main phase event that lasts the whole turn

Cons:
-Situational, may end up never using it
-Not every deck will be able to find the alchemy to use it

Sealed:3/5-Can be brutal if you have the alchemy
Constructed:3/5-Can shut down opponent’s strategy for a turn.

Imperial

Entombed

I must say this card is quite useful. If you use it on a character like Yoki, you only need 6 alchemy and your safe from his sending home and even his high wit count which he can use for powerful Wits events. Use it on Envy, Copycat and your safe from CtT or other high costing events, and he cant use his recycle ability for a low cost of 8 (which is low in Elric.) Pretty well rounded card and I can see it being used and recycled (BtP) alot.

Limited: 2/5
It can stop battle pumps, but you'll need the alchemy to do so, so thats hard to pull off.
Constructed: 4/5
This card is pretty cool. Useful in many Elric Alchemy Beatdown decks.
Picture: 5/5
The name fits and the angle they chose is great. Also, more proof Al > Ed.
