The end of
WIldlife Week on Pojo's FMA COTD is today, and
we have the cutest dog to ever grace a TCG
card... Black Hayate, Mascot!
Faction: Military

Ability: SEARCH WITS Sacrifice Black Hayate:
Reset target character in your home and move him
tot he search party.
Keywords: Animal
for 2 cost, it has awesome stats... Its ability
can be useful to let a used character int he Mai
Phase join the fray, but most of the time, it
will be a dead card. only useful in decks that
need him as a combo piece.... BUT THE PICTURE IS
SOOO CUTE!!!
Rating: 2.6/5... not really useful... OMG

"Search Wits Sacrifice Black Hayate: Reset
target character in your home and move him into
the search party."
The Rundown: While he has average stats for a 2
cost ally, Black Hayate
makes up for it by having a very handy
effect--most notably against
Homunculus. Homunculus has several cards and
allies that set your allies or
make it so that your allies cannot assign to the
search party. But, with
Black Hayate, you can sacrifice him and then
move one of your allies into
the search party from home. It also has some use
against Yoki and his "send
home" cheese.
The Downside: Well, you have to sacrifice him in
order to gain his effect.
Which means you spent 2 command to recruit an
ally that is no longer there.
In addition, you have to spend a search action
in order to use his effect.
So, instead of attacking an opponent this turn,
you instead spend it
sacrificing one of your allies to move another
one into the search party.
Doesn't seem too productive...
Final Word: While you may have to spend a search
action to get this little
guy's effect, it's worth it if your opponent
made it to where you couldn't
assign your 8/8/9 Veteran Alchemists this turn.
While Black Hayate won't be
something you'll find in every deck, he's not a
bad choice to stick in there
just in case.
I give Black Hayate, Mascot a 3 out of 5.

Search Wits: Sacrifice Black Hayate: Reset
Target Military Character you control and move
it into the search party.
This card belongs in any Roy deck that plans to
go above level 3 (Man who would be king) because
the level 4 has to be set during the recruit to
use its effect and this card just helps the
MWWBK out sooo much, in my Roy, I packed 3 of
these because they, just like Den, foolish
pawns, and others of that sort, are moving
targets. . . This card is also good with things
like Gracia Hughes - Pregnant Mom.
