Alphonse Elric, Protective Soul

Like you have a choice? This card is probably the card you will rely on most of the game. This card is unbelievable, especially if antique armor is equipped to him. He should basically able to win any battle, so your best bet is to attack with him first, kill someone, and save his effect for later. His built in block-like effect will make your opponent think twice before attacking. Sometimes, i do not even want to go to LV3 because i will miss his effect.

Alphonse Elric, "Protective Soul"

7 Command Elric Faction

Spirit - Hero Level 2

5 Strength 4 Wits 6 Alchemy

Battle Strength: Exchange one of your characters in the battle with Alphonse

Elric.

Stat wise: Best level 2 stats of all the Alphonse level 2 leaders out there (though I haven't seen all the cards in AH yet)

Effect wise: I gotta say, I don't really see a downside to it. If your opponent goes after one of your weaker charcters in battle, you just use "Protective Soul" 's effect and suddenly your opponent is fighting a big, bad suit of armor instead. If you started off with "Alphonse Elric, In the Flesh", then your Al will come equipped with an "Antique Armor". So, if the enemy is overpowering, you can substitute "Protective Soul" and end the battle with "Antique Armor".

The only possible downside to this card is its 7 command. But, like all leaders, you sacrifice command for better stats and sometimes a better effect as well.

Last Word: The only way I wouldn't use this as my level 2 Al leader, is if I really needed the 8 command. Otherwise, this is the guy I would go with.

Alphonse Elric, "Protective Soul" gets a 5 out of 5 from me.
