The Rundown: Izumi's more available level 2
allows her to Block attacks, which is pretty
useful for saving that character that you don't
want to be taken down just yet. She also has
decent stats for a level 2 and comes equipped
with Quick Alchemy, much like her level 1. Not
too shabby.
The Downside: First off, this Izumi has 7
command, which isn't all that great unless
there's an effect or stats to make up for it.
Unfortunately, looking at this effect, it isn't
all that great. This is mostly due to the fact
that Izumi doesn't meet the stat requirement
right off the bat. In addition, Strength is not
Izumi's best stat, so you're less likely to have
Strength boosting equipment in your deck. That
means you're likely to have to Equivalent
Exchange in order to use her effect, and you
want to have to EE for things as seldom as
possible.
Final Word: Overall, I'm not too impressed with
this leader. It's alright if you're wanting to
run Izumi as your leader, but aside from that,
try to get your hands on Izumi Curtis, PO'ed.
She has 8 command, slightly lower stats, Quick
Alchemy 2, and a slightly more useful effect.
I give Izumi Curtis, Protector a 3 out of 5.
